Extract of correspondence from the Rev. Isaac Lowndes, Corfu, Greece, related to the printing of Albanian tracts. Published in The American Tract Magazine, vol. I, no. 5, February, 1825.

Previous to receiving this account I had got “The Golden Rule” translated into the Albanian language, by the Archbishop of the Negropont [Grigor Gjirokastriti], who is a native of Albania; he is now translating “The Doctrine of the Cross.” I have “The Great Question Answered” ready for the press, in modern Greek, and I intend to send it to Malta; but I propose to print the tracts in the Albanian language here. I fully agree with you to the usefulness of printing small tracts, for in this way we can, at a less expense, provide a greater variety, which is very desirable.
