Academic Symposium about the Albanian Protestant Movement

On October 24–25, 2016, the IAPS joined the Kosovo Protestant Evangelical Church in organizing an academic symposium with twelve guest speakers concerning the Albanian Protestant Movement on the occasion of the 200th anniversary of the British & Foreign Bible Society’s interest in the Albanian language. The topics of the symposium included a general chronology of the Albanian Protestant Movement, the cultural context into which Protestantism arrived in Albania, the educational contributions and academic texts of the Qiriazi family, the role of Bible Society colporteurs, and Protestant publications.
